The Financial Administration sub-unit focuses on ensuring adherence to the Finance (Administration) Act and the Financial Regulations. This is achieved through ongoing reviews of the financial control environment, evaluations and investigations of financial maladministration within the Government's Financial Management System (SmartStream). It also provides for the enforcement of the Act by instituting sanctions for breaches of the provisions therein. In addition, the Sub-unit provides guidance and training to line ministries on financial administration issues.
