Designing Climate Change Projects That Deliver

An innovative, hands-on training programme designed to equip public sector professionals with the skills to transform climate policy ambitions into fundable, implementable projects that deliver measurable resilience and development outcomes for Saint Lucia.

This is the 3rd course in The Government of Saint Lucia & Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) Sustainable Finance Training Programme.


Participants Will:

  • Develop competitive, donor-ready climate project concept notes and proposals.

  • Identify, analyze, and apply high-quality climate data and information.

  • Design inclusive and effective stakeholder engagement strategies.

  • Build practical proficiency in project design frameworks and tools.

  • Strengthen capacity to implement compelling and results-driven projects.

This course is delivered under the GCF Readiness Project:
“Catalyzing Low-Carbon Investment and Mobilizing Finance for Saint Lucia (CLIMB-SLU)”,

  • The Green Climate Fund


Schedule

  • Duration: Every Thursday, March 19 – May 7, 2026

  • Time: 9:00 am – 3:30 pm

  • Format: In-person sessions


Eligibility

  • Staff from public sector institutions and state-owned enterprises in Saint Lucia.

  • Designed for public officers who want to move from ideas to implementation and develop fundable, high-impact climate projects in Saint Lucia.


Participant Benefits

  • Opportunity to access up to US$50,000 to implement a compelling climate change project

  • Coffee breaks and lunch provided

  • Fully funded – NO COST (100% FREE)


Registration Information

If you are passionate about advancing climate action within your Ministry or Agency, you are encouraged to apply.

Application Deadline: March 11, 2026

To register, applicants must provide:

  • A short description of their current role

  • The climate-related challenge they want to address

  • Initial thoughts on a project concept

Final participation requires confirmation from the applicant’s Department/Agency lead.
