Contract Title: Rehabilitation of Selected Health Facilities - Micoud Wellness Centre

Reference No: SLU-DVRP-W-NCB-RHMW-01-16

 

  1. The Government of Saint Lucia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project, and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Construction of the Micoud Wellness Centre.

 

  1. The Department of Economic Development, Transport and Civil Aviation now invites sealed bids from eligible bidders for to carry out the works located at Micoud located A-1725-101 at which includes demolitions of the existing reinforced concrete columns, beams and slabs, earthworks entailing excavation and filling works including hard excavation, construction of a single storey building on suspended concrete slab Including ancillary paved roads and car park areas, concrete walkways and storm water drainage works, electrical, plumbing, air-condition, communications, firefighting, Equipment Installations and fencing and landscaping works..  The Construction period is twelve months.

 

  1. Bidding will be conducted through the National Competitive Bidding procedures as specified in the World Bank’s Guidelines: Procurement of Goods, Works and Non-Consulting Services under IBRD Loans and IDA Credits & Grants by World Bank Borrowers dated January 2011 (and revised July 2014 (“Procurement Guidelines”), and is open to all eligible bidders as defined in the Procurement Guidelines. In addition, please refer to paragraphs 1.6 and 1.7 setting forth the World Bank’s policy on conflict of interest.

 

  1. Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Project Coordinator, Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project, email chmathurin@gosl.gov.lc and inspect the bidding documents during office hours 0900 hours (9:00am) to 1500 hours (3:00 pm) daily from Monday to Friday at the address given below (*) from August 2, 2019.  

 

  1. A complete set of bidding documents in English may be purchased by interested eligible bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of a nonrefundable feeof Eastern Caribbean one hundred dollars (XCD100.00). The method of payment will be by certified cheque, or telegraphic Bank transfer to Bank of Saint Lucia (Account # 901367740, Swift Code: bosllclc) payable to the Disaster Vulnerability Reduction Project. The document will be sent by Courier to bidders overseas.

 

  1. Bids must be delivered to the address below (**) on or before September 11, 2019 at 9:30 a.m (0930 hours on or before. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders’ designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below (***) on September 11, 2019 at 10:00a.m (1000 hours).
  2. All bids must be accompanied by a Bid-Securing Declaration.
